About Dr. Natarajan Elangovan

Dr. Elangovan is a Board Certified Psychiatrist with 25+ years of experience. He is an affiliated M.D. at Staten Island University Hospital. He has extensive experience in mental health service management and has served as Medical Director of several psychiatric hospitals and programs. Dr. Elangovan’s clinical work has focused on treatment of patients with anxiety and mood disorders; he has published several articles and abstracts on the topics. He received his M.D. from Stanley Medical College in Chennai, India and completed residency training at Mount Sinai School of Medicine at Elmhurst Hospital Center. He also received a Master’s of Public Health degree from Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health.

Dr. Elangovan has been in private practice for over 5 years, opening his New Jersey office location in 2010. Since then, he has expanded his practice to include an office in Staten Island, New York, which opened in 2015.
